Every home, however beautiful, has a place where the nuts and bolts of life exist — the place where the laundry lives, where the dog gets washed, where the vacuums and mops and buckets stand side-by-side with the recycling bins. It’s the out-of-sight place that enables us to live a civilized life everywhere else.
